Position: Secretary General, World Baseball Softball Confederation
Beng Choo Low from Malaysia is secretary general of the World Baseball Softball Confederation. She is a member of the IOC’s Women in Sport Commission, former secretary general of the Olympic Council of Malaysia and also sits on the sports advisory panel of the country’s sports ministry, among several other roles in Malaysian sport.
Trained as a lawyer, Low represented her nation in netball and softball. She was president of the Softball Association of Malaysia from 1999 until stepping down in 2014 and is honorary life president of Softball Confederation Asia after previously serving as secretary general and president. Since 2002, Low has played a crucial role in helping oversee the organization of softball tournaments at the South East Asian Games, Asian Games and Summer Olympics.
